Technical Information on the Self-Directed Use of BOCK

BOCK is an ERC-20 token on Arbitrum.

You can also check out Dexscreener showing more info (chart, trades, volume, liquidity etc.) and an integrated option to swap funds via Uniswap or Matcha.

1 Set Up a Web3 Wallet

(skip if you already have one)

Before interacting with BOCK, you need a Web3-compatible wallet like MetaMask or Coinbase Wallet. You can use this either as a software wallet or in combination with a hardware wallet like Ledger.

2 Add Arbitrum as a Network

(skip if you already have or it’s automatically integrated in your wallet)
  • Network Name: Arbitrum One
  • RPC URL: https://arb1.arbitrum.io/rpc
  • Chain ID: 42161
  • Currency Symbol: ETH
  • Block Explorer URL: Arbiscan

3 Deposit ETH into Your Wallet

(skip if you already have)

To interact with BOCK-related on-chain flows, you need funds like ETH, USDC, USDT or similar on the Arbitrum network.

Two options: Via your crypto exchange or via a bridge from another layer, like the Ethereum layer 1, if you already have funds there.

Option 1
  1. Log in to your crypto exchange and select "Withdraw ETH."
  2. Important: Make sure to select Arbitrum as the network!
  3. Send ETH to your wallet address.

Don't have an account on a crypto exchange? We recommend Binance: Binance.

Option 2
  1. Go to a bridge like Arbitrum Portal and connect your wallet (there are many other bridges too if you have funds on different layers like Base).
  2. Select the Layer you have your funds on (e.g. Ethereum or Base) and select Arbitrum One as the layer you want your funds to be bridged to.
  3. Select the asset you want to bridge like ETH, USDC or USDT (You will need some ETH on Arbitrum to pay for Gas fees). Then bridge the funds by approving the transaction with your wallet.
  4. Usually you have to wait some time (~15 min) before the funds arrive on Arbitrum.

BOCK can be created through a user-initiated wrapping process from OCA. The association does not provide instructions, recommendations, or services for acquiring BOCK on secondary markets. Any interaction with decentralized protocols is carried out independently by the respective user and at their own risk.

4 BOCK Interaction Overview

  1. The BOCK contract is referenced by wallets and decentralized protocols during user-initiated wrapping or unwrapping flows.
  2. Review the transaction details carefully, including the resulting token amounts, fees, and price impact. If the available liquidity is low, price impact can be significant. Approve transactions only if you are aware of the outcome and associated risks.

Relinquish BOCK

The relinquishing process is the reverse of acquiring: swap BOCK β†’ ETH/USDC/USDT β†’ Deposit directly to your exchange or bride to another layer.

  1. Swap BOCK for ETH/USDC/USDT.
  2. (Optional) Convert ETH/USDC/USDT to the currency of your choice.
  3. Withdraw ETH/USDC/USDT to a crypto exchange or bridge back to any layer.
